unWined with mindless art: batik painting on silk

unWined with mindless art: batik painting on silk

Getting into art is a fun and fulfilling hobby—especially if you’re full of ideas you’re itching to bring to life. But if traditional art classes sound a little too intense or structured for your vibe, we’ve got something different for you.

We get it: art classes can feel intimidating. The idea of sharing your work with strangers and being critiqued might be enough to keep you from signing up in the first place. And while putting yourself out there is brave (cheers to you if you do!), sometimes a little liquid courage can help ease those nerves.

Learning how to paint or draw can be rewarding—but let’s be honest, after a long day of work, juggling your kids’ school schedules and extracurriculars, sitting down to learn the fundamentals of color theory or brush technique might not be the kind of "relaxation" you're looking for.

That’s where Mindless Art comes in.

This isn’t your typical art class. It’s a low-pressure, chill experience where you can experiment with materials, play with techniques, and just… zone out. It’s not about perfecting a skill or creating a masterpiece. It’s about enjoying the process and giving your brain a break in community with others.

Yes, mindfulness—doing things with intention and focus—is great. But sometimes, letting yourself get lost in a mindless activity is just as valuable.

Come paint, play, and unwind. No rules. No pressure. Just art.

Your price includes a glass of complimentary wine from William Grassie Wine Estates.

Textured Florals: Painting on Wood

Join us for a delightful and relaxed evening in a paint and sip style event. Whilst enjoying some delicious drinks from local wineries, you will create your own masterpiece to take home at the end of the workshop in a color scheme of your choice.

Impasto is more than a technique—it’s a sensory experience. Imagine the tactile pleasure of applying lush, buttery paint with a palette-knife or brush, creating lifelike, 3-dimensional flowers and petals

Our focus? Gorgeous blooms that seem to leap off the canvas, casting shadows and dancing with light. 🌼✨

  • Creating impasto florals through layered palette knife painting

  • Tips and tricks for creating with your palette knife

  • How to create dimension in your abstract sill life paintings

  • Getting thick with acrylics and how to go about it

Includes:

  • All art materials including paints, thickening medium, brushes, etc.

  • Wooden board for wall-hanging that will act as your canvas

Deeply Rooted: Healing with Sound + Art

Deeply Rooted: Healing with Sound + Art

A sacred space to slow down, tune in and create from your soul…

Let your art journal become your sanctuary. In this gentle, nourishing workshop, we will blend sound healing, and reflective mindful art journaling to help quiet the noise and reconnect with your inner wisdom.

You don’t need to be a “writer” or an “artist” just come with an open heart and a willingness to explore.

You’ll experience:
❤️ Guided meditation to ground and center
❤️ Free flow Art journaling with prompts and inspiration
❤️ A nurturing space for reflection, release and self discovery
❤️ Sound healing

What does your inner voice want to express if you give it room to speak? In this interactive workshop, Recreation Therapist Ashley James guides you on a journey by combining visualizations, the elements, sound, and art making. The intention of the experience is to explore self-inquiry, and self-discovery and invite deep rest and relaxation. This experience is both uniquely personal and collaborative.

You will learn about sound healing and how it works with guidance from Nina Bryden. A sound bath is a deeply-immersive full-body listening experience that uses sound to invite a restorative process to nurture the body and mind. A sound bath provides participants with a meditative experience without knowing how to meditate.

What is Mindful Art Journaling?

Mindful art journaling is like keeping a diary, but instead of just writing down words, you also use art to express how you’re feeling. It's a bit like art and meditation mixed together. You take a moment, notice what's going on in your body, mind, and heart, and then express that onto the page with colors, marks, and words. It's not about creating perfectly; it's about creating freely. It’s about giving yourself permission to be with what’s present and to express yourself.
