bundle dyeing is a contemporary natural dye practice allowing for the transfer of botanical dyes from flowers and herbs onto cloth.
we will also learn how to create Cyanotype photographic prints using the power of the sun’s UV light to create deep Indigo Blue hues. In this hands on workshop, participants will use freshly picked specimens to create one of a kind pieces on pre-treated light sensitive fabric.
The historic Cyanotype Process was discovered in the early 1900’s and is one of the oldest mediums of photographic printing. The simplicity of Cyanotype makes it a great introduction to those new to photography or alternative printing.
