Dive into the world of working with your hands through crochet, where simple stitches create calm, focus, and something beautiful to take home.
Circles exist everywhere in nature and are a powerful foundation for creating wearable and structured crochet pieces. From cozy beanies to functional baskets, learning to crochet in the round opens the door to endless creative possibilities.
In this intermediate class with Guest Fiber Artist, Marisa Reinsch, you’ll learn the essential technique of working in the round while creating a beanie you’ll be proud to wear — and excited to show off. Whether you’re brand new to making a beanie or looking to strengthen your skills, you’ll leave with confidence, inspiration, and a handmade piece you love.
The Details
Two and a half hours of time to learn & create
All materials for the project are included
Note: Some prior knowledge of crochet is recommended before taking this intermediate level class. Specifically, the chain and single crochet stitches.
Note From Marisa:
“If you have never crocheted before, I recommend that you obtain some medium weight yarn, a size J-10 hook, and a tapestry needle. Then watch the Yarnspirations videos linked below and follow my instructions for making a basic rectangular bookmark. Alternatively, you can attend our Crochet Community on Thursday, February 19. There are lots of other resources available on the Internet, especially YouTube videos.
If you do not already know the chain and single crochet stitches, the beginning of this class may be frustrating, and you will be less likely to complete the project.”
