Sea Turtle: Alla Prima Oil Painting

  • Works From the HeART 301 W North Bend Way Suite 100A North Bend, WA 98045 United States (map)

A restorative oil painting experience inspired by the strength and steady wisdom of the sea turtle.

Join us for a restorative and immersive oil painting experience as we bring the serene beauty of a sea turtle to life on canvas.

Sea turtles symbolize longevity, resilience, protection, and the wisdom that comes from moving steadily through life’s currents.

In this guided workshop, you’ll learn foundational oil painting techniques — blending, layering, building depth, and creating luminous ocean tones — while exploring the gentle strength embodied by these incredible creatures.

What You'll Learn

  • Mixing rich oceanic colors using water-soluble oil paints

  • Creating dimension in a turtle’s shell and flippers

  • Capturing light filtering through water

  • Developing texture and movement with brushwork

The Details

  • Two and a half hours of time to learn & create

  • All materials for the project are included

  • Beginner-friendly (no experience necessary!) - comes pre-drawn!

As you paint, you’ll be invited to reflect on:

  • Where in your life you’re being called to slow down

  • What you are protecting or nurturing

  • How you can trust your own steady path
